Subsidy and CalWORKs
Programs
– Parental choice is the focus of the Child Care Links
Subsidy and CalWORKs program.
Funding for child care payments is available to
eligible families based on income and family need for
services. The
child care subsidy follows the child.
This means that if work hours change, the family moves,
or a child needs a different setting, the parent is able to
choose new care. Click here for

Subsidy and CalWorks Program Policies
Resources and
Referrals
– Child Care Links offers free child care resource and
referral information to parents seeking care in the Tri-Valley
area. Parents are
given information on the full range of child care options so
they may make informed choices in selecting and monitoring
their child care. The
agency’s policy is to give referrals, not recommendations,
as parents are the best ones to decide what is appropriate for
their children. Families
may also obtain information on other community agencies and
support services.
Community Services
– Community Services is a Child Care Links provider and family
education and support services program available to families
enrolled in CalWORKs or other subsidized child care programs
and to their chosen child care providers.
This program is helping parents and providers,
both licensed and license exempt, achieve the highest level of
safe, quality child care.
Community Services offers a wide range of free services
including: outreach, information, resources, orientations,
workshops, training, home visits and telephone support.
Parents and providers can earn safety equipment,
resource materials, personal gifts and children’s books and
toys simply by taking advantage of our home visiting services.
